Columbus State University’s TSYS Center for Cybersecurity advances the future of cybersecurity by expanding workforce capacity through innovative education, experiential learning, research, and strategic public-private partnerships. As an NSA-designated Center for Academic Excellence, the Center leverages federal, state, and local collaborations and its state-of-the-art Cyber Range to deliver immersive, real-world training— using scenarios, often involving simulated attacks on virtual company networks, the Cyber Range offers an immersive and practical learning experience. The Center empowers students to accelerate their careers through programs like Nexus and the NSA-designated Masters of Cybersecurity.

Several Paths to Become a Cybersecurity Professional

Cybersecurity Practitioner (Undergraduate Certificate) 30 1 year
NEXUS Degree 60 1–2 years*
B.S. in Cybersecurity 123 4 years
M.S. in Cybersecurity 30 1.5–2 years

* Students who have already completed general education coursework may apply those credits to the NEXUS degree, cutting the length of the program down to one year.
